Who are the Confined Space Training courses for?

Confined space training is for employees, supervisors, managers and PCBUs in any industry regardless of state in Australia where you have confined spaces.

The Confined Spaces course is a nationally accredited competency based training that has a balance of theory and practical elements of working in a confined space. Learners will be trained in how to enter a confined space safely, confined space hazards & control measures, confined space risk assessing, working in accordance with a confined space permit.

Licensing, legislative and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors. Students must check requirements with relevant body to ensure it meets their requirements.


How to enrol in the class

This enrolment form needs to be completed and signed by the learner prior to class.

This enrolment form includes 3 Parts:

  • Part 1: Personal Information
  • Part 2: Your contact details
  • Part 3: Required AVETMISS compliant information

Before you start, please make sure you have read YRT Student handbook, and have following documents ready:

  • USI* (PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A USI, or go to usi.gov.au to obtain one first)
  • any one of the following - you will need to upload a copy while completing this enrolment form
    • current Driving licence
    • current Photo ID with address on it
    • Australian Passport and a document showing address

We also offer to book in groups of employees on any date as agreed upon, either at our training facility in Sydney, Alexandria or Perth, Welshpool or on your site (minimum numbers.apply)

Please understand that site training requires a suitable area where we can safely bring our MyMob mobile training trailer to conduct effective Practical training.

 

*USI

From 1 January 2015, YRT can be prevented from issuing you with a nationally recognised VET qualification or statement of attainment when you complete your course if you do not have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). In addition, we are required to include your USI in the data we submit to NCVER. If you have not yet obtained a USI you can apply for it directly at http://www.usi.gov.au/create-your-USI/ on computer or mobile device. Please note that if you would like to specify your gender as ‘other’ you will need to contact the USI Office for assistance.
