  • Year 12 Certificate OR Verifiable Certificate IV or higher
  • Core Skills Profile for Adults online assessment passing at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both reading and numeracy

Qualification Structure and Content

The following units of competency make up this qualification. To get the ICT50220 Diploma in Information Technology, you must complete all of the units of competencies.

The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology is broken up into the following Modules.

Module 1: Cyber Security

Module 2: Ethics in an ICT Environment

Module 3: ICT Support and Customer Service

Module 4: ICT Strategy and Leadership

Module 5: Operating Systems

Module 6: Networking

Module 7: Network and System Security

Module 8: Virtualisation and Cloud

Customisation

YRT recognises that training should be tailored to each client’s specific business goals. As a result, YRT can tailor the optional units of competency to the cohort’s unique industry needs. The length of time it takes to complete the qualification may differ as a result of customization.

Delivery Locations

All full YRT full qualifications can be delivered in the following locations:

  • YRT NSW HQ – Banksmeadow
  • YRT WA
  • YRT Queensland
  • YRT Melbourne
  • Your Workplace
  • Connected delivery (online) for eligible qualifications
  • YRT arranged external venue

Delivery Structure

Face-to-Face workshops conducted in classroom or via remote connected delivery. Plus self-paced learning with access to YRT advance LMS.

Assessments

Assessment component of this course includes the satisfactory completion of:

  • Sessions’ activities
  • Presentations
  • Underpinning knowledge questions
  • Project evidence (from workplace or simulated via case studies)

Assessment is conducted at the session to which the training has been conducted allowing the participant to carry out tasks directly related to the unit of competency studied and the supervisor to adequately observe the student in depth during this time period.

  • Assessments workbook
  • Access to LMS

Exit Point/Award

Students that successfully complete all 8 modules as stated in the course structure will be issued with a Diploma for ICT502220 Diploma of Information Technology  by Yalagan Registered Training.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
