Description

Control the Flow. Lead the Safety.

The RIISS00058-60 Combined Traffic Controller (TCI) and Traffic Management Implementer (TMI1) Skill Set is designed for individuals ready to take real responsibility in live road environments.
This course doesn’t just teach you how to hold a stop/slow bat — it builds complete traffic management capability. Participants develop the practical skills to safely control traffic around worksites, communicate clearly with motorists and crews, and apply approved traffic guidance schemes in accordance with legislation and industry standards.
Beyond traffic control, the TMI1 component equips you to implement and modify traffic management plans on urban streets and low-volume rural roads. You’ll learn how to interpret traffic control plans, assess site conditions, position signage and devices correctly, and ensure safety for workers, pedestrians and road users.
Delivered through hands-on, scenario-based training, this program builds real confidence for high-risk, safety-critical roles across civil construction, utilities, infrastructure and road maintenance projects.
Traffic management is about more than cones and signage — it’s about protecting lives.
With both TCI and TMI1 capability, you step onto site ready to lead safety, not just follow instructions.
