Description
The RIIMPO318F Conduct Civil Construction Skid Steer Loader Operations unit is designed for individuals working in civil construction, infrastructure and earthworks who need to competently operate a skid steer loader in live site conditions. Skid steers are powerful, compact and highly adaptable machines, but they demand precision, awareness and strong safety practices.
This course develops your ability to plan work tasks, conduct pre-start and shut-down procedures, inspect equipment, identify hazards and apply risk control measures in line with WHS requirements. You will gain practical, hands-on experience operating the machine to lift, carry, load and move materials efficiently while maintaining stability and site safety.
Training focuses on reading and interpreting site instructions, communicating with ground personnel, working within traffic management systems, and understanding load limits and safe operating parameters. By completion, participants will be able to operate a skid steer loader competently and professionally, contributing to safe and productive civil construction outcomes.
