Description

The TLILIC0003 & TLILIC0004 Combined Licence program is designed for individuals seeking comprehensive materials handling skills across warehousing, logistics, distribution and industrial workplaces. Operating forklifts and order pickers requires precision, hazard awareness and strict adherence to WHS legislation — and this course builds true operational competence.

Participants develop hands-on skills in conducting pre-start inspections, identifying workplace hazards, interpreting load data plates, managing load stability and safely manoeuvring equipment in confined and high-traffic environments. The forklift component focuses on lifting, stacking and transporting loads, while the order picker component develops capability in elevated load retrieval and safe working at height within racking systems.

Strong emphasis is placed on traffic management, communication, risk control measures and maintaining safe work zones. Through structured theory and practical assessment, learners build confidence to operate responsibly in real workplace conditions.

Successful completion enables participants to apply for both High Risk Work Licences — LF (Forklift) and LO (Order Picking Forklift) — significantly expanding employment opportunities across supply chain, manufacturing and logistics sectors.

To make the most of your YRT Accredited course, it’s essential to have the following skills:

  • Basic English literacy and numeracy.
  • Photo ID
  • 18 years of age or over

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you'll have the tools and knowledge to confidently apply these key concepts in practice:

  • Safely operate both forklift (LF) and order picker (LO) equipment in line with WHS legislation.
  • Lift, stack and retrieve loads efficiently in warehouse and distribution environments.
  • Conduct inspections and manage load stability and workplace hazards.

Upon successful completion, the student will receive a national Accredited qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and Australian Skills Quality Authority.
