Who are the Confined Space Training courses for?

Confined space training is for employees, supervisors, managers and PCBUs in any industry regardless of state in Australia where you have confined spaces.

The Confined Spaces course is a nationally accredited competency based training that has a balance of theory and practical elements of working in a confined space. Learners will be trained in how to enter a confined space safely, confined space hazards & control measures, confined space risk assessing, working in accordance with a confined space permit.

This nationally recognised unit describes the skills and knowledge required to safely enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries. It covers planning and preparing for confined space work, interpreting safety procedures, identifying hazards and risks, implementing control measures, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and confined space safety equipment, and safely exiting the space in accordance with workplace procedures and legislative requirements. Participants will learn to obtain and confirm entry permits, monitor atmospheric conditions, and follow safe work practices to help protect themselves and others in high-risk environments.
