Description
The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid unit prepares you to respond quickly, calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Whether it’s a workplace incident, sporting injury or unexpected medical emergency, this course builds the real-world capability to assess, manage and treat casualties until professional help arrives.
You will develop hands-on skills in CPR, managing unconscious casualties, controlling bleeding, treating burns and fractures, responding to asthma and anaphylaxis, and handling a range of medical emergencies. Training aligns with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and current industry standards, ensuring you are learning up-to-date and compliant procedures.
Through practical simulations and scenario-based training, you’ll build confidence in applying the DRSABCD action plan, conducting risk assessments, and communicating effectively with emergency services. This course is suitable across all industries and is often a mandatory workplace requirement.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment, positioning them as a capable and confident first responder.

To make the most of your YRT Accredited course, it’s essential to have the following skills:
