CPCCLRG3001 – Licence to perform rigging basic level

Rigging Training Course Content

Our rigging training course specifies the outcomes required to perform basic rigging work associated with movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists (including mast climbing hoists), placement of pre-cast concrete, safety nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms to meet the requirements of SafeWork NSW for RB (Rigging Basic) licence.

A person who demonstrates competency in this unit must be able to provide evidence of the ability to: comply with OHS/WHS licensing legislation, effectively communicate and work safely with others in the work area, effectively conduct risk assessment and management procedures, effectively complete the following tasks: –

  • inspection of all plant and equipment, and
  • installation of a fall arrest system (Static line), and
  • use of a safety harness / fall arrest system, and
  • installation of crane loading platforms and
  • installation of a safety net, and
  • installation of a shutter and safety screen, and
  • demonstrated ability to work safely at heights, and
  • erection of structural steel, and
  • erection of precast panel, and
  • set up and operation of a winch for load movement, and
  • installation of a materials hoist, or
  • installation of a mast climber.

Prerequisites

Rigging Training Prerequisites In Sydney

  • This unit has a pre-requisite requirement. This requirement may be met by either the successful completion of the unit CPCCLDG3001A Licence to perform dogging or holding a valid licence for dogging.
  • Ability to understand and write English.
  • 18 years of age
  • Participants must provide their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety boots, hard hat and a high visibility vest.

Entry requirements (Accredited)

To make the most of your YRT Accredited course, it’s essential to have the following skills:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a high risk work licence
  • Must hold a current dogging high risk work licence as a pre requisite
  • Must provide valid photo identification such as a passport or Australian driver licence
  • Must have the ability to understand and follow safety instructions in English
  • Must have appropriate work rights in Australia where required
