Description

The TLILIC0005 Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (11m or more) prepares operators to safely perform elevated work in construction, maintenance, shutdown and industrial environments. Operating boom lifts at height is safety-critical and requires strong technical understanding, hazard awareness and strict compliance with WHS legislation.

Participants develop hands-on capability in conducting pre-operational inspections, assessing ground and environmental conditions, understanding load limits and stability principles, and safely manoeuvring boom-type EWPs. The course also covers fall protection requirements, emergency procedures, communication protocols and exclusion zone management.

Delivered through structured theory and practical assessment, this training builds real-world competence — not just licence compliance. Successful completion enables participants to apply for the High Risk Work Licence (Class WP), opening pathways into high-demand roles across construction, infrastructure and resources sectors.

Learning Outcomes
